## General Match and Event Photography

Where general crowd, match or event photography is being undertaken, the club will provide appropriate information that photography or filming is taking place.
The FA's current guidance recognises that obtaining individual consent from every person at a general sporting event may not always be practical or proportionate, while emphasising the importance of making participants and parents/carers aware that photography and filming will take place and explaining the purpose.
## Children and Young People
Staplehurst Monarchs FC recognises that additional care is required when photographing or filming children and young people.
The club will follow applicable FA safeguarding guidance and its own safeguarding procedures when photographing or filming children.
The FA specifically recognises potential safeguarding risks associated with publishing images of children online and provides guidance for clubs on managing photography and filming.
Close-up or individual images of children should only be used where appropriate safeguards and permissions are in place.
## If You Do Not Wish to Be Photographed
If you do not wish to appear in official club photography or video, please inform a member of the **Staplehurst Monarchs FC Board** or another authorised club official.
Where reasonably practicable, the club will take steps to avoid capturing or publishing identifiable images of individuals who have raised an objection.
If an image has already been published and you have a concern, please contact the club so that the matter can be reviewed.
## Independent Photography
Spectators, parents, players and other visitors may independently take photographs or video for personal purposes.
Staplehurst Monarchs FC cannot control photography or filming carried out independently by members of the public.
Where concerns arise regarding inappropriate photography, filming or online publication, please report the matter to a club official.
